The family of Frankie Beverly has asked, “Please respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”

Frankie Beverly, the American singer who founded Maze, was a talented and influential figure in the music industry, a Renowned American singer, songwriter, and producer, is best remembered for his role as the charismatic leader of the R&B band Maze.

In 1976, Frankie Beverly’s musical career took a positive turn when he founded the legendary R&B band, Maze. The group clicked to popularity with their soulful sound and melodies.

He was born on December 6, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, started his musical career in the 1960s with a doo-wop group called The Blenders, In the early 1970s, Beverly moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and formed Maze. Things really took off when Marvin Gaye, who was a big fan of Beverly’s music, asked them to be the opening act for his tour. In 1977, Maze released their debut album, it had some big hits like “Happy Feeling’s” and “While I’m Alone.”
